Police said the crash occurred as Ronald C. Police said he was driving a 2022 Porsche Taycan eastbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle, driven by Maurice Muhammad, 54, of Tobyhanna, and merged into the left lane in front of it, striking it and then striking a ditch.

Police said the Porsche was towed from the scene. The second vehicle had minor damage.

Police said the other driver was a 34-year-old man from Saylorsburg.

Police did not provide any other details of the incident except to say the man from Albany was taken into custody after the crash.

• Three vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction crash at 12:29 p.m. Oct. 3 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police did not provide the names of the drivers but said the operator of a 2010 Chevrolet Impala that was involved in the incident was cited for following too closely.
