The NAACP Schuylkill County Branch will hold its October general membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Alvernia University CollegeTowne in Pottsville.

The nominating committee will present its report, nominations by petition will be received, and the election supervisory committee will be elected.

Members eligible for office may also be nominated by petition at the October meeting. A valid petition must contain signatures from at least three members in good standing, along with the candidate’s signed consent form.

The branch election for officers and at large members of the Executive committee will be held electronically from 5 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 5.
