CCEDC presents ‘2026 State of the County’
The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, will bring together regional leaders and decision-makers for its annual State of the County event on Oct. 6, at Blue Mountain Resort.
With the event quickly approaching, CCEDC is encouraging businesses, community leaders, municipal officials and residents to secure their tickets for one of the organization’s signature annual programs.
This year’s State of the County will provide attendees with a broad look at several of the issues and industries influencing Carbon County’s continued growth and development. Presentations and updates will focus on:
• Education — Lehigh Carbon Community College.
• Energy — PPL Electric Utilities.
• County Government — Carbon County Commissioners Office.
• Real Estate — Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors.
• Economic & Community Development — Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation.
“State of the County gives us an opportunity to step back from the day-to-day and look at the bigger picture of what is happening across Carbon County,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, senior vice president of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “Education, energy, housing and real estate, county government and economic development are all interconnected. Bringing these perspectives together in one room helps our business and community leaders better understand where we are today, what opportunities and challenges are emerging, and how we can continue moving Carbon County forward together.”
The program is designed to provide timely information and perspective from organizations whose work directly impacts businesses, residents and communities throughout Carbon County. From workforce and education needs to infrastructure, development trends and local government priorities, attendees will hear updates on issues that will help shape the county in the months and years ahead.
“This event is designed to be an exclusive and all-encompassing look at the county,” added Adams-Weiss. “It’s fast-paced, info-heavy and an engaging look on what’s happening here.”
CCEDC will also provide an update on its economic and community development efforts, including ongoing initiatives, partnerships and priorities aimed at supporting balanced growth and strengthening Carbon County’s business climate and quality of life.
This year, CCEDC is also elevating the event’s production experience with professional audiovisual support, creating a more dynamic and polished program for both presenters and attendees.
Tickets are limited, and advance registration is strongly encouraged. Businesses, community organizations, municipal representatives and members of the public interested in learning more about Carbon County’s current landscape and future direction are invited to attend.
