Lehighton Area Heritage Alliance and Lehighton Cemetery Association presents “Songs & Stories in the Mausoleum: A Journey Through 250 Years of Patriotic Music” this weekend.

At 2 p.m. Sunday, come experience an unforgettable afternoon of music, memory, and storytelling in the historic Lehighton Mausoleum with musician, singer and educator David Matsinko, and storyteller and local historian Kathy Long.

Matsinko will bring America’s musical past to life with guitar, banjo, mandolin, and vocals, weaving together traditional folk, patriotic songs, and classic Americana.

Hear the stories behind the music and enjoy songs connected to legendary artists and composers, such as Founding Father John Dickinson, George F. Root, John Philip Sousa, George M. Cohan, Irving Berlin, Woody Guthrie, Glenn Miller, Bob Dylan, and Pete Seeger.
