A contractor will begin paving Hunter Street in Tamaqua this week.

Ronnie Folk Paving Inc., Shoemakersville, will pave the street from Broad Street to the Walker Township line on Thursday, Friday and Monday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. Work will be done weather permitting.

Parking will be prohibited on Hunter Street, and the street may be closed at times to accommodate the work. Drivers should avoid the area if possible.

Drivers should also expect delays and allow for additional travel time.
