September 19, 2008 — Lehighton quarterback Kyle Hunter runs for two touchdowns and throws for another as the Indians gain a 34-21 Mountain Valley Conference victory over Pleasant Valley. The win is the first for head coach George Ebbert. Hunter tosses a 4-yard TD strike to Brian Horn and reaches the end zone from three yards out during a first quarter when the Tribe takes a 21-0 lead. Hunter later adds a 15-yard scoring run. Anthony Guzenski carries 30 times for 125 yards, including a 2-yard tally. The Lehighton defense forces six turnovers, two of them interceptions by Giuseppe Caruso with one of them a pick-six that covers 55 yards.
