Figura opens the scoring in the first quarter with a 6-yard tally. He seals the decision with a 2-yard burst to the end zone in the final frame. William Kunkel leads the defense, which holds the Panthers to just 132 yards — including no completions. Kunkel recovers two fumbles, knocks down a pass and picks up a tackle for loss. Thorpe, coached by Mark Rosenberger, also receives an 11-yard TD pass from Dan Flizack to Justin Young in the third quarter.
