Carbon County farmers during the last year wound up with total cash receipts from the sale of their agricultural products somewhat below that of the preceding year, a survey by the State Department of Agriculture indicated.
Total cash receipts for county farmers last year amounted to $1,922,000 as compared with $2,388,000 in the previous year.
The sale of poultry and poultry products proved to be the biggest producer on the farm front in the county, generating $813,000.
Other income for county farmers included: dairy products, $308,000; field crops, $297,000; meat from animals sold alive, $187,000; vegetables and potatoes, $153,000; horticultural specialties, $126,000; fruits, $20,000; miscellaneous livestock products, $13,000; and forest products, $5,000.
