One person is dead as the result of a violent accident between a vehicle and a tractor trailer in Ryan Township. The crash occurred just after 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of the Burma Road. Reports from the scene indicate one person has been declared dead and four others are seriously injured. One critical patient was flown from the scene by LifeFlight 5. The vehicle caught fire due to the crash. Area fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway. State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
