St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Nesquehoning is hoping to keep local first responders hydrated during emergencies.

The church, located at 9 W. Railroad St., in conjunction with the borough’s National Night Out Celebration, is currently holding a bottled water drive to collect water to distribute to local firefighters and police.

Bottled water can be dropped off at the church hall or by calling 484-226-9115 to make arrangements.

“Please help us give back to our first responders who give so much for our community,” the church posted on Facebook.

The deadline to donate is Friday.
