Christ UCC, 309 Main St. (P.O. Box P), Walnutport, holds a service each Sunday with Pastor Brian Haas at 10 a.m.

• School supply carnival: 1-3 p.m. Aug. 9 in the church yard. The church is collecting donations of school supplies, especially pencils, erasers, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors, single subject folders and any other supplies.

Slatington Baptist Church

The Slatington Baptist Church will hold its 30th annual Free Clothing Days in August.

The church is looking for donations of good, clean clothing and shoes, in all sizes, for this ministry.

Clothing for school-age children and clothing for men and women in size 2X, 3X and larger are especially needed.

They will also take sheets, blankets, towels, purses and backpacks.

Drop off donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 3 or 4 at the Slatington Baptist Church, 509 Main St., Slatington, or call 610-767-6276 to make other arrangements.

The distribution schedule is as follows:

• Aug. 5: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Aug. 6: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., distributing ladies clothing only.

• Aug. 11 and 12: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Aug. 13: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., all clothing and household items will be distributed.

Clothing will be available for people to choose from for free.

Please bring bags to put clothing in and, if possible, leave small children at home during opening hours, when it is the busiest.
