Tamaqua Chamber opens photo contest

The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of its annual “For the LOVE of Tamaqua” photo contest, and is inviting amateur and professional photographers to showcase the beauty, character and spirit of the Tamaqua area through their camera lenses.

From breathtaking landscapes and historic architecture to community events, wildlife, seasonal scenery and everyday moments that capture the heart of the community, the Chamber encourages photographers to share the images that best represent their love for Tamaqua.

“The ‘For the LOVE of Tamaqua’ photo contest is one of my favorite projects each year because it allows us to see our community through the eyes of the people who love it most,” said Aimee Dotson, the Chamber’s executive director.

“Every year we receive incredible photographs that showcase Tamaqua’s natural beauty, rich history, local events and the pride our residents have in their hometown,” she said. “These images help us tell Tamaqua’s story and promote our community throughout the year.”

Photographers may submit up to five digital photographs that were taken within the Tamaqua Area School District. All entries must have been taken after Sept. 1, 2025, and must be submitted by Sept. 1, 2026.

Selected photographs will be featured in the Chamber’s publications, website, social media, tourism materials and other marketing initiatives.

Through these images, participants help tell the story of the people, places and experiences that make the Tamaqua area unique.

Entries should be submitted electronically as JPEG image files (minimum 1 MB) by email to chamber@tamaqua.net. All submission emails must include “Photo Contest” in the subject line to ensure entries are properly identified and processed.

A completed entry application, including acceptance of the contest terms and conditions, must accompany all submissions.

All photographs submitted must be original work and submitted by the photographer or an individual with legal permission to submit the image.

Submitted photographs become the property of the Chamber and may be used for Chamber promotional and marketing purposes, including websites, social media, publications, advertising, tourism materials and community promotions.

Complete contest rules, entry forms, submission instructions and additional information are available at www.tamaqua.net or by contacting chamber@tamaqua.net.

The Chamber encourages everyone — from experienced photographers to those simply capturing special moments on their phones — to explore the community, grab a camera, and share what they love most about Tamaqua.
