Franklin Township supervisors took the following action on Tuesday:
• Approved a pay raise for an unnamed road crew member to $21.91 an hour.
• Approved the resolution approving the Community Development Plan and authorizing the inclusion of the township’s projects in the fiscal year 2026 Community Development Block Grant application administered by Carbon County. The project is for finishing the drainage issues on Red Hill Road.
• Approved the Service Agreement with Signal Service Inc. for the traffic signal maintenance contract, and to authorize the board chairman to sign the acceptance agreement.
• Agreed to award a bid for tar and chip road program at a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
• Approved holding an electronics recycling event from 9-11 a.m. Oct. 17, or until the collection truck reaches capacity.
• Approved the Franklin Township Fire Police to provide traffic control assistance for the Towamensing Township Volunteer Fire Company Car Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 16, with a rain date of Aug. 23.
• Denied the Franklin Township Fire Police to assist the Lehighton fire police with traffic control for the Oct. 24 Witches Market from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., with a rain date of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 25.
