Derick A. Teboh, 29, of Lanham-Seabrook, Maryland, was cited for following too closely after a two-vehicle crash at 6:36 a.m. on July 2 on Route 924 in Hazle Township, according to police.
No one was injured in the incident.
State police at the Hazleton barracks said that Teboh was driving a 2015 Honda CRV that hit the back of a 2026 Freightliner operated by Jackson Carrasco Balbi, 26, of Weatherly, as the latter slowed the rig for a red traffic signal.
Police said the Honda had disabling damage and was towed from the scene, while the rig had minor damage.
