State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:
• Anton Branc, 70, and two girls, ages 6 and 5, all from Saylorsburg, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 1:52 p.m. July 9 on Frable Road, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said they were transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg.
They said the crash occurred as Branc was driving a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica south when he experienced a medical episode that caused him to lose consciousness. They said the vehicle drifted off the left shoulder of the road and hit a tree. It had disabling front-end damage and was towed from the scene.
Police said the girls were secured in front-facing child safety seats in the Pacifica.
• Anthony Dekenipp, 38, of Bath, is facing charges of driving under influence of alcohol or a controlled substance following a one-vehicle crash at 4:38 p.m. June 30 on Merwinsburg Road, Chestnuthill Township. He was uninjured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado south when he lost control of it and the vehicle briefly overturned onto its roof. They said it came to rest in an upright position, partially in the south lane, and was towed from the scene.
• Frank A. Sanabria Jr., 41, of Effort, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 7:25 a.m. July 7 on Astolat Road, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg.
They said he was driving a westbound 1995 Honda Accord when he fell asleep as the car approached a potion of the highway that curves to the left. Police said the car failed to negotiate the curve and hit a utility pole on the right shoulder of the road. The force of the impact, police said, caused the vehicle to spin and then overturn. It was towed from the scene.
Sanabria was cited after the crash, according to police.
