Sam Vinc, a 15-year-old sophomore at Tamaqua Area High School, registered a hole-in-one on the par-3 17th hole during the Firecracker Scramble on July 4 at Hidden Valley Golf Course in Pine Grove.

Vinc used an 8-iron for the ace while playing alongside Cole Yelinek, Owen Crossen and Dylan Knittle.

He is the son of Amanda and Jared Vinc.
