Calvary Lewistown

Calvary Evangelical Church reminds all that all services are being held at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, 614 Valley Road, Tamaqua. Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. At the 11 a.m. service, Pastor Debra Rogers will present a message of hope for the world as believers in Jesus. Also during the service, Child Evangelism Fellowship Summer Missionary will present information about the organization and the Good News Clubs.

The Sunday evening service of music and sharing of the word is at 6:30 p.m., and the Wednesday prayer service is at 7 p.m.

All are invited to come to the hilltop to find fellowship.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley. The adult Sunday school meets at 9:30 a.m.

Rush-Ryan-Delano Seniors

The Rush, Ryan and Delano Senior Citizens met on July 14 with 29 members present.

Vice President Jayne McLaughlin opened the meeting with the invocation, “Something to Live For.” A gift card from Boyer’s was chanced off. Snacks were donated.

It was noted that food vouchers were given out at the Primitive Methodist Church in Tamaqua and will be available at Zuckovich’s Farm Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 29. The meeting closed and bingo was played.

The next meeting will be held at 1 p.m. July 28 at Christ Church in Barnesville.
