Star Community Health is hosting a Back-to-School Bash featuring free school supplies and free health services from noon to 3 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Star Community Health Hometown Family Medicine, 34 S. Railroad St., Tamaqua.

Students can receive free vision checks, hearing checks, dental screenings, sports physicals (with appropriate paperwork) and vaccines.

Those in need of a vaccine are asked to schedule an appointment by calling 570-645-1950.

There also will be information about community resources and insurance.
