Tamaqua’s Liberty Tree Park received a number of donations recently. The Johns and Riegle families are sponsoring the ongoing replacement of the park’s flags in memory of Dave Johns who passed away in November of 2025. In addition, the park’s newly installed flagpole was jointly sponsored by Tamaqua American Legion C.H. Berry Post #173, Sons of the American Legion Squadron #173 and the Tamaqua American Legion Auxiliary.
