State police at Fogelsville - crashes

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Four people had minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 4:22 p.m. May 25 at the intersection of the King’s Highway and Behler Road, Lynn Township.

Police said Gayle E. Pearsall, 69, of New Tripoli, the driver of one of the vehicles, and her passenger, Elaine J. Peter, 95, of New Tripoli, were transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown, while Jessica L. Shook, 40, of Slatington, a passenger in the second vehicle, was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Carbon Campus, Mahoning Township, by the ambulance service.

The driver of the second vehicle, Jeremy S. Shook, 47, of Slatington, had a cut on his forehead but refused medical assistance, police said.

They said the crash occurred when Pearsall was driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue when she turned onto King’s Highway and failed to observe a westbound 2016 Dodge Ram driven by Jeremy Shook, causing the Ram to strike the Rogue. Police said both vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

Pearsall was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Alina M. Gerlicz, 39, of Bethlehem, had minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 2:45 p.m. June 15 on Route 22 in Upper Macungie Township. Police said she did not require an emergency medical services transport from the scene.

They said she was driving a 2023 Acura Integra that hit the back of a 2019 Ford F-350 driven by Stephen G. Gress, 37, of Danielsville, on the Tilghman Street on-ramp to Route 22.

Police said the Acura was towed from the scene, while the F-350 was able to be driven from it.

Gerlicz was cited for following too closely, according to police.

• A driver and three passengers were uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:02 a.m. June 19 on Route 309 in Lynn Township.

Police said Owen E. Hall, 18, of Tuscarora, was driving a 2013 Toyota Highlander north when he swerved to avoid striking a deer that had entered his lane of travel. He lost control of the vehicle, which hit a tree off the roadway. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

His passengers were Andrew D. Balliet, 19, Jacob A. Schlier, 21, and a 16-year-old boy, all from Tamaqua, police said.
