The Anthracite Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will host a car cruise to benefit McAdoo Playgrounds on Saturday from 3-7 p.m. at the Tri-County Little League Field, McAdoo (rain or shine), in conjunction with the Southside Summer Festival, which runs from noon to 7 p.m.
Entertainment will be provided by DJ John from the Strand from noon to 3 p.m. and the Legends Oldies Band from 4-7 p.m.
Food trucks and vendors include For His Kingdom Coffee, Wicked Foods, Dante’s Inferno By Alta, Joe’s Pierogies, La Casita, The Greek Shack and Woods Ice Cream.
There will also be craft vendors, face painting and a bounce house.
Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 50 cars. All antiques, muscle cars, modifieds, hot rods, and motorcycles are welcome. For more information, call Mike Havrilla at 570-436-5050.
Mark your calendars for the 40th annual show: Sunday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tri-County Little League Field, corner of Grove and Hancock streets, McAdoo. The show will be held rain or shine.
