State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 30-year-old Walnutport woman is facing charges of “flight to avoid apprehension” after police attempted to make a traffic stop at 5:20 p.m. June 12.
Police said it was determined that she was wanted in New Jersey on theft charges. The woman was charged and transported to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, where she is awaiting extradition.
• A 22-year-old Palmerton man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident at 8:41 p.m. June 12 on the Little Gap Road, Lower Towamensing Township.
Police said the victims are two women, ages 64 and 21, both from Parryville.
They said the charge results from a physical altercation. A 2019 Subaru Outback was damaged in the incident, police said.
• Police said $300 worth of items were stolen from the yard of a 61-year-old Bowmanstown man.
They responded at 10:46 a.m. June 12 to a property on White Street, where the man reported that someone entered his unsecured backyard and stole a Kobalt rechargeable battery, a Kobalt reciprocating saw and two other electric tools.
• A 19-year-old Lehighton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 10:02 p.m. May 22.
He was stopped in a 2008 Ford F-150 for multiple Title 75 violations on Fairyland Road, Franklin Township.
