Lehighton is in the hunt for a registered lineman for its Light & Power Department.

The borough recently posted on its Facebook page that it’s seeking to fill the position.

The duties of borough linemen include working on distribution lines; climbing poles and working off hooks; operating equipment; and maintaining street lighting.

Successful completion of an acceptable electrical lineworker program and a valid CDL is required to apply.

The starting salary for the position is $70,948, with yearly raises guaranteed. Medical, prescription, dental, vision and life insurance coverages are included.
