A taste of Palmerton: Second taste trail a success

The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corp., proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, welcomed residents and visitors from across the region to downtown Palmerton earlier this month for the Second Annual Palmerton Taste Trail.

Building upon the success of its inaugural year, the event once again showcased the diverse businesses, local flavors, and community spirit that make Palmerton a vibrant destination. More than 70 attendees spent the afternoon exploring downtown, visiting participating businesses, sampling unique food and beverage offerings, shopping local, and discovering new favorite destinations along the way.

The self-guided experience featured 13 participating businesses and organizations, each offering a special taste, sample, treat, or experience for attendees. Stops included Tranquility Spa, River Rock Bean + Brew, Palmerton Memorial Pool, Sleepy Cat Winery, Boost Café, AK Farms, One Ten Tavern, Palmerton Pub & Steakhouse, Papa Al’s, JW Farms & Homestead, Claude’s Creamery, Kupkake Kandi, and the Palmerton Fire Department.

From specialty coffees and smoothie bowls to smoked meats, pastries, frozen treats, local products and creative culinary offerings, attendees enjoyed a wide variety of experiences while supporting Palmerton’s small business community.

“The Palmerton Taste Trail continues to demonstrate the power of community collaboration and the importance of supporting local businesses,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss. “What began as a new concept last year has quickly become a signature event that brings people together while highlighting the incredible entrepreneurs, organizations, and experiences that make Palmerton special. The energy throughout downtown was incredible, and we’re grateful to everyone who participated.”

In addition to supporting local businesses, the event provided attendees with an opportunity to experience Palmerton in a new way, encouraging visitors to explore downtown storefronts, engage with business owners, and discover products and services they may not have otherwise encountered.

The CCEDC extends its sincere appreciation to all participating businesses, volunteers, and attendees who helped make the event a success. Special thanks are also extended to event sponsors Blue Mountain Resort, The Neffs National Bank, WMGH 105.5, and WAEB 790 for their support and commitment to strengthening the local business community.
