State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• No one was hurt when a 2021 Kia struck a deer at mile marker 71.9 in East Penn Township at 6:10 a.m. June 14.
Police said the vehicle, whose driver was not identified, was southbound when the deer entered its lane of travel. The car had front-end damage.
• Injuries were averted in a two-vehicle crash at 7 p.m. April 17 at mile marked 88.9 in Penn Forest Township.
Police said the crash occurred when a 2019 Volvo traveling south merged left from the right lane and struck a 2016 Toyota Sienna.
Police did not identify the drivers of the vehicles.
• Charges of failure to drive at a safe speed are pending against Paul Pritchard, 53, of Larksville, following a one-vehicle crash at 1:02 p.m. May 6 at mile marker 81.4 in Penn Forest Township, police said.
Pritchard was driving a 2025 Honda Civic southbound when it struck the center barrier, according to police. Pritchard was uninjured.
