Sierra Nichols, 30, of Tamaqua, was charged with simple assault and harassment after Tamaqua police said she headbutted and punched a man around 8:25 p.m. June 9.
Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Rolling Mill Avenue for a domestic incident and spoke to the victim. Police noticed that his mouth was bleeding. He claimed Nichols punched him several times and headbutted him.
Police located Nichols, who said that she and the man had an argument. She said that when she was trying to get away, she bumped heads with him.
She was taken into custody and arraigned on the charges before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli. She is free on unsecured bail.
