The Chestnuthill Township supervisors conducted the following business this month:
• Forty-nine acres belonging to Elizabeth Price were added to Chestnuthill Township’s Agricultural Security parcel. The property is part of the agricultural preservation program as required to be approved as an agricultural security parcel.
• Pickleball courts will be coming to the township. An extension for the project was given to Xavier Landscape until July 24 for substantial completion.
• Dunkleberger’s Tree Service was awarded the tree trimming bid a the cost of $74,950. The 2017 GMC 2500 pickup was sold on Municibid for $16,100.
• The Merwinsburg Hotel was given payment #3 for $54,540,75. The project is getting close to completion.
• Summer camp will be held at Chestnuthill Park from June 22 to July 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• A summer concert will be held at the park on July 24. Big Valley Bluegrass will play from 7-9 p.m.
The West End Fire Company reported 15 calls for the month of April and 183 year to date.
