Applications open for Fair Queen

Interested in being the 2026 Fair Queen or Junior Miss?

The Carbon County Fair is looking for incredible young women with a passion for their local community and agriculture.

To be Carbon County Fair Queen is a once in a lifetime experience each queen cherishes forever. The opportunity holds community events, public speaking opportunities, advocacy for local agriculture and representation of our county and fair. Each queen attends the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairsconvention in Hershey in January, where they will compete again 60-plus other queens from fairs throughout Pennsylvania. This is an incredible networking and skill building opportunity.

Age requirements are Junior Miss, 13-15, and Fair Queen, 16-20.

Additional competition information regarding structure and requirements available on website or contact Maria Burits at 610-739-3558.

The purpose of the Carbon County Fair Queen Program is to promote the education of young women through a $500 scholarship program and to encourage the promotion of the Carbon County Fair (its history and community impact), educate the public on the agricultural industry and foster a greater public understanding of the importance of each of these to our community. Applications are available on the fair website: https://www.carboncountyfair.com/fair-queen-program/. Deadline to apply is June 30.
