A 67-year-old Slatington man died in a motorcycle crash on Monday near the 300 block of Welshtown Road, Washington Township.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said the man, whose identity is known but has not been released pending notification of next-of-kin, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:51 p.m.

He said the cause of the death is multiple blunt force injuries due to the crash, which has been ruled an accident.

The coroner said the man lost control of the motorcycle he was operating, causing it to leave the roadway and crash. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The crash is being investigated by the coroner’s office and state police at the Bethlehem barracks.
