Local residents were among the 36 University of Scranton students inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society for education. Kappa Delta Pi is dedicated to the ideals of humanity, science, service and toil. The university’s chapter of the honor society was established in 1992.

Emma Schultz of Slatington, a junior majoring in early and primary teacher education, was inducted.
