State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• A 57-year-old Brodheadsville man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following a two-vehicle crash at 3:51 p.m. May 17 on Mountain View Drive, Polk Township.

Police said the crash occurred in the area of 453 Mountain View Drive when a car traveled into the oncoming lane and struck a second vehicle head-on. Involved were a 2018 Lincoln and a 2015 Lexus.

Victims of the incident, a 22-year-old man from Portland and a 21-year-old woman from Effort, had minor injuries and were treated at the scene by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:09 p.m. June 3 at the intersection of Sei Pike Lane and Spruce Hollow Road, Towamensing Township.

Police said the crash occurred when Brittany E. Magner, 28 Lehighton, was driving a 2017 Dodge Charger that turned onto Sei Pike Lane from Spruce Hollow Road and struck a 2022 Mazda CX9 driven by Adalia M. Ellerbee, 25, of Whitehall.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Magner was cited for “prohibited use of hearing impairment devices (headphones), according to police.
