Erratic parent charged after Little League game

A White Haven man is facing reckless endangerment charges for what police said was erratic behavior with a vehicle at a Little League Baseball game in Hazle Township.

It happened around 7:05 p.m. Wednesday in the area of the Hazle Township Little League property at West 31st and North Vine streets in the township.

State police at the Hazleton barracks said Matthew D’Agostino, 42, was charged with recklessly endangering another person, reckless driving and multiple other traffic citations.

Police said the incident happened following the abrupt end of a Little League playoff game, when police received multiple reports of a parent becoming irate and driving erratically at a high rate of speed through the parking lot in his 2015 Volvo.

Witnesses told police he performed two “doughnuts” and began to fishtail/drift on the gravel parking lot.

Police said multiple people of all ages were in close proximity of the car, putting them at risk of being struck by the vehicle or thrown rocks thrown by it.
