Local Roundup: Results from June 4

Franklin Township continued its winning ways in Lehigh Valley Junior Connie Mack action by defeating South Parkland on Thursday.

Franklin Twp.-S. Parkland

Roman White had two hits and scored two runs to help Franklin Township earn a 9-5 victory over South Parkland.

Franklin, which won its fifth straight game, scored four times in the first inning and never trailed.

Owen Moyer contributed a pair of hits, a run and an RBI while Brian Mriss and Myles Meek both ended with a hit, a run and an RBI.

Jim Thorpe outhit host North Bethlehem, but was on the short end of a 10-7 score.

Carter Reis, Jionni Puddu and Jaxon O’Shura each had two hits as Thorpe collected 11 in the game. Reis also knocked in two runs.

Daniel Off and Ezra Krout both contributed a hit and two RBIs in the losing effort.

For North Bethlehem, which used a five-run fourth inning to take control, L White had two hits and knocked in a pair of runs.

Williams Twp.-Palmerton

Matthew Piparato doubled twice, scored two runs and drove in another as Williams Township defeated Palmerton 11-1.

Logan Rehl added two hits, a run scored and an RBI for Williams Township, while Nick Vroman, Owen Wadas, Tyler Kovacs, Grayson Risinger, Tommy Austin and Mason Hartrum each drove in a run.

Dillon Welsh and Brody Mertz both collected a hit for Palmerton. Brady Ivancich knocked in the Bombers’ lone run, while Welsh scored once and stole two bases.

Piparato earned the win, allowing two hits and one run while striking out seven over 4 1/3 innings.

Lehigh Blue-No. Lehigh

Lehigh Blue scored six runs in the first inning and cruised to a four-inning victory over Northern Lehigh.

Jackson Ondria went 4-for-4 with five RBIs to lead the winners. Aiden Rivas and Coltin Brozino both added two hits and two RBIs, while Bryan Gillner drove in two runs.

Brozino and Ondria combined on a no-hitter, striking out seven and walking three.

Ben Conroy struck out five in 2 2/3 innings of relief for Northern Lehigh.

Silver Creek used one big inning to help gain a 7-2 victory over host Northern Lehigh.

Wakan Sturges hit a three-run double during a six-run fourth inning to give the visitors a lead they would not relinquish.

Dylan Ruvo paced Silver Creek with two hits, one a double, and two runs.

For Nolehi, Avery Kabrick had a triple and an RBI, while Pablo Rivera added a hit and knocked in a run. Jayden Weaver and Cole Mohrey both chipped in with a hit and a run.

Nazareth-Birches

Nazareth started strong and ended even stronger in rolling past the Birches, 13-1.

Landon Glovas knocked in four runs for the winners, who scored four times in the opening frame and plated seven more in the sixth. Chase Biedermann added two hits, two runs and an RBI.

Isaiah Sack tossed five innings, allowing just two hits and an unearned run while striking out five.

The Birches received hits from both Christian Knight and Braydon Green, while London Smith had the team’s only RBI.
