State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 59-year-old Kunkletown man is the victim of a theft incident police were called to at 8:37 a.m. May 23 on Kunkletown Road, Eldred Township.

He told police that four dozen eggs valued at $19 had been stolen from him.

Police said a suspect was identified through investigative means and the man was reimbursed.

• The driver of a 2005 GMC Envoy that police stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation at 7:46 p.m. May 24 was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

The vehicle was stopped on Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East in Mahoning Township, police said.

• A 60-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 7:47 p.m. May 25.

He was stopped in a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Maple Drive, Lower Towamensing Township, police said.
