The annual McDonald’s Lehigh Valley All-Star Football Classic will be held Thursday, June 11 at Nazareth’s Andrew S. Leh Stadium.

Nine players from the Times News area are expected to play in the contest, which pits the St. Luke’s team against the Ronald McDonald House squad.

Pleasant Valley leads the area contingent with four seniors named to the St. Luke’s roster. They include Ajani Wheeler (DE/WR), Frederick Merklin Jr. (FB/LB), Jaxson Haines (WR/DB) and Niko Payan (RB/DB).

Teaming with the Bears players will be Northern Lehigh’s Grady Newhard (FB/LB) and Nathaniel Kuhns (OL/DE), as well as Northwestern’s Michael Boring Jr. (DE/LB).

Members of the Ronald McDonald squad include two Lehighton seniors. They are Austin Green (DB/RB) and Caden Meek (WR/DB).
