Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters recently:

Resignations

• Mikayla Tanzos, secondary music/band director, effective the end of the work day on June 11.

• Dawn Nagy, cook’s helper, Northern Lehigh Middle School, effective the end of the 2025-26 school year.

Administrative transfer

• Susan Maikits, from districtwide floating LPN to middle school LPN, at no change in salary, effective Aug. 18.

Appointments

• Chanel Diaz, administrative assistant, middle school, $35,570 prorated for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year, effective June 1.

• Charles Young, supervisor for summertime maintenance/custodial helpers, $15 per hour.

• Elizabeth Binder, elementary, Terry Jany, guest teacher, Sofia Lear, elementary, as substitute teachers, 2025-26 school year, at the 2025-26 substitute rate of sub work days 1-10, $120, and Day 11+, $130, as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.

Extended School Year Program

• Ryan Stillwell, Greg Dieter, Lynn Werley Olesak, Kayla Perkowski, instructors, at the Collective Bargaining Agreement current rate of $35 per hour, and Stella Bowers (hourly rate of $18.94 an hour, week 1 and 2 only), Michelle Schramel (hourly rate of $19.34 an hour, week 2 and 3 only), and Holly Keffer (hourly rate of $18.94 an hour, week 1 and 2 only), Robin Blocker ($20.67 an hour), Angie Thomas ($20.11 an hour), Riley Kuntz ($18.94 an hour), Tara Hengst ($22.36 an hour), Jennifer Haas ($21.58 an hour), Jennifer Kuhns ($20.11 an hour), Kim Wagner ($23.07 an hour), and Elaine Parks ($18.94 an hour), paraprofessionals, hourly rate, for the Extended School Year Program for students with special needs from July 6-23. The program will run weekly, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon.

• Tracy Hoffman, school nurse, Summer STEAM Camp and Extended School Year Summer Programs, for up to five hours a day at the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement current rate of $35 per hour.

• Elizabeth Tranthum, transportation paraprofessional for student No. 2390125, at five hours per day at her agreed upon hourly rate of $22.15 per hour. The Extended School Year Program runs June 22 through Aug. 31.
