Incumbent Doyle Heffley was unopposed on the Republican ticket for state representative in the 122nd district with 4,35 votes.

Penn Forest supervisor Christian Bartulovich launched a write-in campaign for a ballot spot. Heffley also urged people to write in his name on the Democratic ballot.

On the Democratic ticket there were 1,164 unresolved write-in votes and 400 on the Republican ticket.

Three hundred certified votes are needed to appear on the Democrat ballot.
