State police at Fogelsville - crashes
State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:
• Leonardo Heredia Lapaix, 43, of Whitehall, was cited for “driver required to be licensed” after a one-vehicle crash at 12:10 p.m. April 18 on the Golden Key Road in Lynn Township. He was uninjured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2009 Honda Civic northbound when it traveled off the road and hit a tree. The car had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
• Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 10:26 a.m. April 24 at the intersection of Werleys Corner and Holbens Valley roads, Weisenberg Township.
Police said McKenna N. Oulds, 25, of Lyon Station, was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, while Patrick C. Harrington, 76, of New Tripoli, was transported by personnel from the Northern Valley Ambulance to an unnamed area hospital. They said the severity of their injuries are unknown.
Police did not provide any details of the crash. They said they saw a 2021 Toyota RAV4 that had been operated by Oulds in the lane of travel with disabling damage. They also found a 2024 Subaru Outback that was operated by Harrington outside the lane of travel and on the left side of the roadway with disabling damage.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Police said Oulds was cited for a stop sign violation.
• Logan J. Galloway, 20, of Slatington, was cited for careless driving after a two-vehicle crash at 3:13 p.m. April 30 on Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2015 Ford Focus westbound when he attempted to merge into the left travel lane while traveling at a high rate of speed, striking a 2025 Honda HRV operated by Jacqueline R. Dijkstra, 55, of Vaassen, Netherlands. The impact caused Dikstra to lose control of the Honda, which slid across the right lane and came to rest on the shoulder of the road. The Focus rolled over and slid through the left lane before coming to rest on its roof on the shoulder.
Police said both vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
• Ashlee L. Tatem, 40, of Mertztown, and a 17-year-old boy from Allentown were cited for following too closely after a four-vehicle pileup at 7:48 a.m. April 28 on Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon Township.
Police said Tatem was driving a 2012 Honda Accord eastbound when it struck a 2017 Ford Escape operated by Marek P. Pasterczyk, 55, of Sinking Spring, after the latter had slowed for traffic. Police said a 2026 Toyota operated by the 17-year-old then struck the rear of a 2020 Honda Civic operated by Lily M. Fasching, 26, of Lehighton.
They said all four vehicles were able to pull onto the right shoulder of the road.
Police said it is unknown whether any of the drivers were hurt in the incident.
• Cynthia A. Ambrose, 61, of New Tripoli, was uninjured when the vehicle she was driving hit a deer at 5:15 a.m. March 10 on Route 100 in Lowhill Township.
Police said she was driving a 2022 Kia Soul north when the deer entered the roadway and was struck.
The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
