State Rep. Keith R. McCall (D-Carbon) helped secure funding for two Lansford historical projects, announcing them in a visit to the sites yesterday.
The lawmaker said the “Old Jail” located at East Patterson and Walnut streets will receive $20,000 to aid in its restoration, the funds coming from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development, while the Lansford Historical Society Museum at 117 E. Patterson St. will receive $17,000.
McCall toured the two sites with Dale Freudenberger, Anthracite Region coordinator for the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, and Bill Harleman, president of the Lansford Historical Society.
