State police at Bethlehem - crashes
State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following crashes:
• No one was hurt in a three-vehicle crash at 5:52 a.m. on April 17 on Nor-Bath Boulevard, Allen Township.
Police said the crash occurred as Lucas R. Pittenger, 21, of Wind Gap, was driving a 2013 Ford F-150 westbound when it failed to stop in time for vehicles that had stopped ahead of him.
The F150, police said, hit the back of a 2016 Subaru Outback driven by Jose Bento, 64, of Freemansburg, pushing it into a 2018 Ford F-150 operated by Timothy J. Fehnel, 61, of Danielsville.
Pittenger was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, according to police.
• Steven A. Santa, 31, of Germansville, had injuries after a motorcycle crash at 4:33 p.m. on April 23 on Route 309 in North Whitehall Township, police said.
Santa, who was alert and walking after the incident, refused a medical services personnel transport from the scene, according to police.
They said he was operating a 2024 Kawasaki southbound when it failed to maintain its lane of travel while negotiating a curve. Police said the motorcycle went down onto its side, throwing Santa, before skidding across the southbound lane and leaving the road. The motorcycle rolled over two or three times and landed on an embankment.
Santa was cited after the crash, police said.
• Jasmine M. Cornish, 36, of Townsend, Delaware, was cited for failure to yield the right of way following a two-vehicle crash at 5:39 p.m. on April 23 on Route 248 in East Allen Township. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said she was driving a 2015 Honda Accord that was involved in a mishap with a 2022 Ford Bronco driven by Karin M. Bristow, 54, of Lehighton.
