A Washington Township man has died as a result of injuries suffered as a pedestrian hit by a vehicle on April 20.

The Lehigh County Coroner said Richard J. Erickson, 48, was pronounced dead on Sunday at 3:39 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest.

The coroner said Erickson was a pedestrian who was hit in the 5800 block of Route 873 in Washington Township. The incident happened at 4:45 p.m. April 20.

An autopsy will be conducted on Tuesday.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the Pennsylvania State Police–Bethlehem Station and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
