Coroner releases identities in Monroe murder-suicide

The Monroe County Coroner’s Office has identified the two people who were found dead in murder-suicide early Thursday morning in Hamilton Township.

Personnel from the office were called to a residence in Hamilton Township where they pronounced Roy Blew, 64, of Hamilton Township, dead at 12:34 a.m.

An autopsy was completed Friday. The cause of death was a gunshot wound with the manner of death being suicide.

Jennifer Fredrickson, 38, of Hamilton Township, was pronounced dead on the scene at 12:35 a.m.

The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, with the manner of death being homicide.

The Pennsylvania State Police are conducting the investigation.

A Troop N Major Case Team and a Special Emergency Response Team were activated Wednesday night after Blew shot Frederickson and then turned the gun on himself.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said that they were summoned around 7:35 p.m. to a residence on Smith Road in the township for a domestic disturbance in which shots were reported to have been fired.
