The 30th annual Pocono Old Tyme Farm Equipment Association was held last weekend at the West End Fairgrounds.
The association aims is to promote the interest of the public in the preservation, restoration and education of antique tractors, engines, implements and toys.
Items up for auction were displayed throughout the property. The goods included tractors and equipment, lawn and garden equipment, hay, straw, grain, lumber, modern and antique gas engines, fruit and ornamental trees, shrubbery and perennials, milk cans and more.
When asked his name, auctioneer Bill Meck kept the damp crowd entertained by sharing, “The Bible got it wrong. It’s the ‘Meck’ shall inherit the earth.”
Farm equipment dealer Dennis Norton drove from Ambler to see what was up for grabs. He took a break from the action by leaning on an old Badger truck, which he explained is an old foresting truck.
