Carbon Career & Technical Institute Cosmetology Instructor Tammy Marshall spoke at the recent Joint Operating Committee along with four of her students about the Be Well Beauty and Wellness Show in New York City in March.
Students Emily DeFuso, Jim Thorpe junior; Macie DeVino, Palmerton junior; Katerena (Rena) Papahristos, Palmerton senior; and Analysia (Ana) Rodriguez, Lehighton senior, all enjoyed the convention, and shared their favorite moments.
My favorite part of the entire trip to the hair show was seeing Wayne Tuggle (world-renowned hair stylist for celebrities),” exclaimed Rodriguez. “I was so excited to see his work in person.”
“I think the show was very beneficial when it comes to learning about how may different products and hair care there really are, and also just walking around and seeing how cool everything was,” DeFuso said.
“I definitely think the show is beneficial for future stylists to see all the different brands and products that can be used in a spa or salon,” Papahristos explained.
“I enjoyed my time at the New York Hair Show,” DeVino said. “There was a lot of people there who were very knowledgeable about the hair business.”
