A man was found dead early this morning along Route 209 in the construction area of the Mansion House Hill.

Carbon County Coroner Mark K. Smith said the initial call came in around 6:45 a.m. for a person down.

Upon arrival, it was determined the victim, a male, was deceased.

As of 10 a.m., Smith said they have not been able to determine the identity of the male.

“We believe this to be the result of a bicycle accident, and will be confirming that,” Smith said.

Smith said there will be an autopsy scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death.

He said the investigation continues.
