Longtime CCTI business secretary to retire June 30

The Joint Operating Committee of the Carbon Career & Technical Institute accepted the letter of retirement from Lisa Zurn, business office assistant/secretary (payroll), effective June 30.

“I am grateful for the many years I have spent at Carbon Career & Technical Institute,” Zurn said.

“I started working in the Adult Education Department (1991-2011) and transitioned to the Business Office (2012-2026) as a Business Office assistant/payroll specialist. I’ve loved my time here and have made some lasting friendships, worked with some great colleagues all of whom I will miss.”

“Miss Zurn, excellent employee, hard worker, my right-hand person,” Business Manager Jeffry Deutsch said. “Very detailed, didn’t have to worry about anything. Just a great employee here at CCTI for 30 years. I really appreciate all the effort she gave over the years.”

David Reinbold, administrative director, also praised Zurn.

“She was a rock in that business office for a long time,” he said. “Very dedicated to CCTI, so we will definitely miss her. But we wish her well in the new chapter of her life.”

“As for right now,” Zurn added, “my future plans include spending more time with family, helping with my grandchildren and just seeing where life takes me!”
