The Tamaqua Police Department responded to 136 calls in Coaldale during the month of March. Police issued four traffic violations, four non-traffic citations, one parking violation and one criminal warrant. Seven criminal arrests were made.

Coaldale contracted with Tamaqua for police coverage through a shared services agreement in 2025.
