Three new teachers were hired last night during the monthly meeting of the Carbon County Vocational-Technical School Operating Committee.

Approved unanimously for the remainder of the 1991-1992 fiscal year were Paul Caputo, Ringtown, as a secondary social studies teacher; David Reinbold of Lansford, as a secondary English teacher; and Drew Coffman of Hazleton, as a secondary general science (academic-vocational remediation) teacher.

All three will begin at a school year salary of $18,500.

The CCAVTS will begin its switch to an academic/vocational program at the sophomore level in September and in three years will be a completely comprehensive program.
