NL community, athletes gather to help cleanup pool

The Northern Lehigh Swimming Pool Association had a great cleanup day on Saturday.

Katherine Barhight Herzog, president of the pool association, said, “I am so grateful to our community for coming together to help us with cleaning up the pool and area around it. The attendance was wonderful.”

The Northern Lehigh football players, Slatington Leo Lions, E.F. Laudenslager, Northern Lehigh Basketball players, girls wrestlers, track, girls wrestling coach and baseball players.

The Northern Lehigh Pool will be open at the beginning of June. The last day of school, June 9 will be a free swim day and will coincide with Northern Lehigh 250 Celebration. Aqua Aerobics will be Mondays and Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. starting June 15.

Swim lessons will be June 29 to July 2 and July 6 to July 9. The pool is also available for private pool parties. Fundraisers such as open mic night and night swims will be scheduled. Jobs available are lifeguards and food stand.
