Walnutport Borough Council recently took the following actions:

• Granted conditional approval to hire Anthony Amari as a part-time police officer, pending graduation and certification.

• Approved an advertisement for the civil service entry exam.

• Approved the 2026 DEP 902 recycling grant in the amount of $220,000.

• Agreed to move forward with 2026 street work at an estimated cost of $26,300.

• Signed the authorization of service for Community Development Block Grant water main replacement Willow Avenue project, in the amount of $25,000.

• Rescinded the motion Councilwoman Nancy Treskot made last month to advertise the secretary/treasurer position.

• Agreed to advertise the secretary/treasurer position.

• Extended the land development plan for LV Capital Acquisitions LLC (316 Oak St.) until Oct. 8.
